  • Senior strategic advisor for Massachusetts’ response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Command Center liaison for the Massachusetts congressional delegation, major city mayors, state legislators, and stakeholder groups during the initial wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in Massachusetts.

Director of Government Affairs, MA Department of Public Health

  •  Principal legislative, political, and strategic advisor to the Commissioner of Public Health, leading legislative policy and strategy for the Commonwealth’s public health department—a state agency with more than 3,500 employees, 100 programs, and a $1B in state/federal appropriations.
  • Supported the Baker-Polito Administration in drafting and securing passage for nation-leading opioid treatment and prevention reform, Chapter 52 of the Acts of 2016 (STEP Act) and Chapter 208 of the Acts of 2018 (CARE Act).
  • Supported successful passage of landmark tobacco and vaping legislation, Chapter 157 of the Acts of 2018.
