Chief Secretary, Governor of Massachusetts 

• Senior cabinet member and adviser to Massachusetts Governor Charles D. Baker.
• Oversaw the appointment of over 900 boards and commission, as well as numerous Administration members and state officials.
• Directed the Governor’s Office of Legislative Affairs, tasked with coordinating the Governor’s legislative and policy agenda across two legislative branches and numerous secretariats and state agencies.
• Instrumental in ensuring the Administration’s successful passage of energy, ride-sharing, municipal finance and economic development reforms.

State Representative, MA House of Representatives 

• Served four terms, representing East Boston and serving as a strong advocate for the elderly and children. 
• Active in the East Boston Chamber of Commerce. 
• Member of the local Kiwanis Club. 
• Board member of the Salesian Boys and Girls Club and the YMCA of East Boston. 

House Chairman, Joint Committee on Veterans’ Affairs 

• Co-authored and led passage of the VALOR Act, ensuring critical support for wounded veterans requiring home modifications after returning home from overseas conflicts.  
• Co-founded the annual Boston Wounded Vet Motorcycle Run, a national model for supporting our country’s wounded veterans. 

Chief of Staff, MA Registry of Motor Vehicles 

• Managed the Registry’s personnel, labor, and employment issues. 
  Served as the chief liaison to the Office of the Governor and other state agencies.
